Overview
AlphaScore is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Data storage
All data you enter — tickers, entry dates, prices, notes — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs privately through your personal iCloud account, governed entirely by Apple's iCloud privacy policy.
AlphaScore's servers never see your data. We do not have servers.
Network requests
AlphaScore fetches publicly available historical price data to compute your scores. These requests are made to:
These requests contain only the ticker symbol you enter (e.g. "AAPL"). No personal information, device identifiers, or account data is ever included.
What we do not do
Third-party services
If you choose to sync your data across your own devices, AlphaScore uses Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings.
Children
Because AlphaScore collects no personal information whatsoever, there are no special considerations for users under any age threshold. The app contains no advertising and no social features.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Given the app's architecture, any meaningful change would require a new app release.
